Transitioning from a postdoctoral position at UC Merced to a new career.

Obtained my PhD in Biology from the Simon Fraser University (supervised by Mike Hart),my MSc in Biology with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from San Francisco State University, and my Bachelors in Biology from Humboldt State University. My PhD thesis project involved finding and assessing the evidence of selection in reproductive genes using RNA-seq data data.

I'm an avid SCUBA diver. I hope to share more of this hobby with the world in the project page soon.

Born in Peru, I moved to the USA when I was a teenager.
